Airbus wins 170 aircraft orders worth $30Bn
Airbus has secured an order of 170 aircraft which worth $30Bn at Dubai Airshow, which
also gives an idea about the expansion of the Middle-East airlines.
The airline giant Emirates has placed an order of 50 Airbus A350-900 XWB
(Extra Wide Body) worth $16Bn listed price.
Following that, the low-cost carrier Air Arabia has placed an order of
120 Airbus A320s which worth $14Bn listed.
Air Arabia chief executive Adel Ali said that this new A320s will be a game
changer to the airline as it would enable them to expand into Southeast Asia
and Africa.
Emirates is the largest A380 operator with 100+ aircraft and Emirates
expect to re shape the airline’s fleet as the early end to production of the
A380. They expect the aircraft deliveries from 2023 which will also expand
their long-haul network.
